Trip report by: Kelvin
Participants: Simon (trip leader), James, Danny & Linda, Steven, Godard,
Peter and John who wisely left his Pajero at the pub.
It was a great day for four wheel driving it was beautiful weather the sun
was shining and a slight Breeze. We were late as per usual due to a mix up
between Kelvin and Christian on the Internet the night before. We finally
arrived at the meeting place and filled up with petrol after that we got breakfast
and were on our way to the pub. Danny, Peter and us arrived at the pub
with the others. Then we were off to the Track for a good full day of four
wheel driving.
We had gotten to the track we were driving around it for a while to find the
challenging bit that was there. We finally found it from some “Great” navigation.
So then we came up to the first half decent part of the track and nothing
to spectacular had happened there. We all got through safely. We came to another
part of the track not far away and Danny was having trouble getting up and
then all of a sudden “BANG” he had lost his steering and stopped to have a
look what it was. And yes sure enough he had broken his drive shaft knuckle
yet AGAIN! Then thanks to our good and now very experienced mechanic Peter
we got going again in not very much time at all. That same place but we all
had a bit of trouble except Godard. Then it came up to Steve’s turn and just
had to hit some imovable object and bend his bullbar back up to his body.
After that Danny got snatched up and I cant say anything about our wonderful
tree we saw because this is a G rated magazine.
Then we came up to another tricky part we all had a tiny little bit of trouble
but nothing major and we were on our way again. Then after a few minutes of
driving we all stopped for lunch at the waterfall. We did some bush repairs
on Steve’s bulbar yet again. After and hour or so we were off driving again.
We came up to a place and met a guy who wanted to go up and down this little
hill is was a bit challenging but he got up and down it with no major troubles.
Then it was our turn we got down with no major troubles except for Steve who
got stuck on a little rock and we had to push him off it but that was it.
We came up to the hardest part of the track about 10 minutes after driving.
It was difficult and eventually everyone got up but Godard had busted a tyre
on a sharp rock is was unfixable. Danny had to get snatched up and then we
were all up and headed back to the pub.
We got there and had a few drinks and headed back home. Over all it was a
very fun and eventfull.
